Nebraska First Staffing is hiring an experienced and motivated CNC Machinist for a great opportunity with a growing Nebraska manufacturer.
We’re looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. What You’ll Be Doing
- Set up and operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, conventional lathes, and mills.
- Review work orders, prints, specifications, and other documentation before beginning production.
- Select and install the proper tooling for each job.
- Cycle individual tools through the machining process to verify proper setup and operation.
- Produce precision parts according to specifications using CNC machines, lathes, and mills.
- Monitor tooling for wear and performance and make adjustments or replace tooling as necessary.
- Monitor machine performance and make appropriate adjustments to maintain production and quality standards.
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure finished parts meet required specifications.
- Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Apply a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) when inspecting manufactured parts.
- Select appropriate speeds and feeds during machine setup.
- Identify opportunities to improve CNC programs, processes, quality, and production efficiency.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment requiring repair.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all established safety procedures and manufacturing processes.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production and quality goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC machines.
- Experience operating conventional lathes and mills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain quality while meeting production expectations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
