Qualified Welder – Manufacturing & Fabrication

Nebraska First Staffing is hiring skilled and dependable Qualified Welders for an excellent manufacturing opportunity in Nebraska. We’re looking for experienced welders who take pride in their craftsmanship, work safely, and want a stable opportunity with room to grow.

• Starting Pay: $23/hour and up, based on experience and skill level

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate MIG, TIG, Arc, and Spot-Welding equipment to fabricate steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel products.
• Perform welding in multiple positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
• Follow established welding procedures, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, grind, and position parts according to technical requirements.
• Use grinders and other fabrication tools to clean and finish welded areas.
• Inspect completed welds, products, and fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality specifications.
• Measure and verify the accuracy and alignment of welded components using squares, calipers, rulers, and other measuring tools.
• Read and interpret work instructions, technical specifications, and applicable documentation.
• Identify defects or quality concerns and make necessary corrections.
• Properly maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Must successfully pass a prescribed weld test.
• Working knowledge of welding processes, codes, specifications, and techniques.
• Understanding of metal properties, welding shrinkage, fabrication, and machining methods.
• Ability to safely operate welding and related fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, work instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic measurements accurately.
• Ability to stand, bend, crouch, lift, and work in various positions throughout the shift.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and productivity.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or fabrication environment.
• Vocational training, welding certification, or related technical education.
• Experience with GMAW, GTAW, and/or SMAW welding processes.
• Experience welding steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum.
• Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team.
